You’re my client if…
-
...you're a woman in midlife wondering if things could be different.
Maybe your children are growing up and you are looking for a new purpose. Maybe you didn’t have children and you need to talk about it. Maybe you are struggling to accept the transition from being a younger person. Maybe you are starting to question the rules you’ve lived by for so long. Maybe you are ready to open that box and process your trauma.
-
...you're a couple invested in improving your relationship.
I have a lot of admiration and respect for the couples who seek therapy with me. They are people who know that couples’ therapy doesn’t mean you’ve failed - on the contrary, it means you recognise that relationships take cultivation and conscious work. It is a privilege to watch to people find their way back to each other again through learning effective communication strategies.
-
...you'd like to learn more about the way your mind works.
I use psychoeducation a lot in my practice. This means that I teach clients concepts from Transactional Analysis (the theoretical framework I use) in order to help give them the language to describe to me what does on in their heads. The theories are not at all difficult to understand - TA purposely uses layman’s terms for this very reason. Using psychoeducation can lead to a lot of '“lightbulb moments” for clients.
-
...you're a woman with ADHD or thinks she might be.
I too have an ADHD diagnosis - some people around me were surprised when they found out, as I don’t “look like” someone with ADHD. However, my diagnosis is largely based on what goes on inside my head and therefore isn’t visible by others. Here in Aldridge or the Jewellery Quarter you can share all the weird and wonderful inner workings of your mind with me - I’m just as weird and wonderful as you are! I also work with clients who are autistic.
-
...you would like therapy but money is tight.
Please do enquire even if you’re on a budget, as I do offer a limited number of low-cost spaces, or you could register to join one of my therapy groups, which works out cheaper per session. In Transactional Analysis we say “I’m OK, You’re OK” - in this context, this means “You deserve to have access to therapy just as much as anyone else.”

...you've done your research and think I could be your therapist!
I have helped a wide range of people, male and female. with a wide range of issues. I have helped people who are neurodivergent, identify as lesbian or gay, in my previous job supported transgender people, Muslims, Hindus, British South Asian, Black British, people of mixed heritage. I have helped people with trauma, bereavement, divorce, stress, family relationships, going through IVF and much more. However, it is the relationship you and I build that will be the strongest contributor to the success of your therapy.
